1 pound of sweet butter (unsalted butter)
confectioners sugar- 7 tablespoons to be mixed in, and then you will need extra after it is baked
1 whole egg
2 egg yolks
package of roasted almonds- 2.25 ounces
in mixer for 15 minutes
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 shot of ouzo
1 shot of metaxa (or whisky)
if you dont have ouzo use just a shot of whisky..nuts are optional
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
around 4 1/2 cups flour (preferably cake flour but regular bleeched flour ok) IMPORTANT: DOUGH SHOULD BE SOFT BUT NOT STICKY
350 degrees for about 20 minutes, confectioners' sugar on top
USE COOKING SHEET SO IT WONT STICK
