Berrogüetto it is a group of galician music folk been founded on the decade of the 90 who surprised from a beginning for its elegant perfectionism and a great sensibility in its letters. Innovative, different and original, it renews the galician folk from its first album: "Navicularia", who supposed a great revolution inside the Folk views because of its innovative style where the traditional melodies were treated by a great freshness, contributing interesting modal harmonizations and rithyms. A disc that early began to receive prizes to European level: Prize of the German Critique in 1997, European Prize of the Music 'Eiserner Eversteiner' in 1998. Berrogüetto rapidly was turned in one of the groups of " world music " more important of the world.
Their second disc, " Viaxe por Urticaria ", reaffirmed the great creative force of their music, emphasizing the importance of the graphical image: artistic photos of the group cutlery of mud and land, metaphor of the alternation among tradition and contemporaneousness, the made musical texture and image.
Their third disc, "HEPTA" (7 in Greek), plays with the important wizard of the number for this group of 7 galician musicians, and relies on in addition the participation of the contemporary artist George Rousse (that he mixes architecture, painting and photography) .With this work obtained a nomination to the Latin Grammys reaffirming their international quality.
Berrogüetto is synthesis of the purest tradition with the contemporaneousness that does not move back in the zeal for discovering new territories of the Galician music. Berrogüetto is the name of the highest meticulousness, of the thin lace of harmony and time, of the agile melody that does not content with its elegance and lifts the eyes to perceive more blue and more wide horizons. In the publication of their " 10.0" fulfill ten years that these artists came to convulse the world folk with a different and attractive speech. The genius of these Galician musicians was capable of creating an own and unmistakable style. Carefully and sensibility, of a discreet way, their speech in each of their discs has supposed a new advance in their way of understanding and interpreting the Music of Galicia.

· Xabier Díaz: voice, galician bagpipe and traditional galician percussion. Into the band from 30/03/2008.

* "Nordestin@s".- Formed together with Abe Rábade and Ugía Pedreira. Disc homonym.

* "Espido".- Formed together with Guillermo Fernández (guitarist of Berrogüetto). Disc also homonym.

I was sorry to hear that Guadi Galego has left Berroguetto -- Do you know if she has joined another group, or perhaps will be performing solo? I hope we will continue to hear her wonderful voice. (Of course the new singer Xabier Diaz is also very impressive, as was clear from his performance on Hepta, but I will miss Guadi.)
