Response to the save the internet video. This is just a ramble about why I believe saving the internet is not possible but the idea is already happening and in motion. So perhaps saving the internet is going to really be the same thing as not saving it.
I support the idea.
This is just my ramble on the ideas around the politics of the subject.

its what i feel is a term the double whammy - on one side we are terrorised into the horrors of the internet that we must control and do something about, and on the other here we have business interests who can better control, monitor and change the internet, so either way - we end up saving the internet

i agree with karma9800.we will lose the freedom of the internet that we are so used to as it is human nature to take control and limit the freeedom of things that are in way a threaten.

Thanks - its an observation that on one hand of course we need to apply control and monitoring - despite having Echelon already - yet at the same time there is always considerable money to be made - and considerable advantages

No you will pay your ISP for access - you simply wont notice that other sites are no longer there. Basically its like corporate entities will control what you have access to - Just now the net has reeeeasonable freedom but like I said - you try and access islamic sites that portray the alternative view to the west - they are not on our w w w ;)

The people who are controlling the world right now are geniusses,no doubt. The question is, do we want to be controlled ? I don`t. My opinion is, we should expose these people for what they are, and for what they are trying to do. Thanks for your video.
