@BirdCrist We need to have a few years of election based on electing people on the promise of passing the amendment and vote for people who do not take campaign donations from corporations (such as green party candidates).
Sanders' claim about the consensus against 'Citizens' is probably true, although I can't recall seeing a study on that, but, for example, I talked to about 100 random people in a public shopping area in metro-Atlanta yesterday (on the two year anniversary of the anti-democratic Supreme Court ruling) & about 95 signed a petition (written by Public Citizen) calling for a constitutional amendment to undo 'Citizens'. It's a mainly Republican city, but people were very supportive of democracy.
Mr. Sanders you're amazing!!! Thank you and keep doing what you're doing!!
On another note, I cannot believe this show had Jack Abramoff giving his opinions on this subject. A lobbyist insider fraud piece of sh*t should not have the honor of discussing ANYTHING related to legislation with Mr. Sanders.
There's no chance any bill would pass, 'cuz the Funders that own the politicians won't allow it!!! Anyone voting for these bills would be cut off from their funding and millions would be spent against them in the next election. The only solution is a grassroots non-partisan movement to amend the constitution so the corporations are NOT people and money is not speech. Goto movetoamend org
