Signal Fire - Keep Smiling Preview

This song derived from a jam we had 3 weeks ago when it was just a guitar riff with a little lick on top. We started singing "keep running" and thought that this should be our new song. However, Luke was going up north for 3 weeks so we would have to put it on hold. During the 3 week period I decided to write lyrics to the song, but I struggled to write a song about running so I changed it in to a ballad called "Keep Smiling". I sent Luke what I had and he adapted it to his new riff as he had forgotten the original one. So when he got back we had another go at the song, it was completely different yet so much better due to Luke's adaptations. I had to completely change my lick to suit the new song and improvise a solo (which is what you hear in the song). We experimented alot and threw our parts together and this is what we got. It is not finished yet, there will be a strong verse after the solo but this is all we could do in one day. Luke also wanted to re-record his vocals but we ran out of time.

There are many mistakes and parts that go out of time but bare with us, this was all thrown together yesterday.

Our bassist was absent and we don't have a drummer yet.
