Artistic Director, Danica Leigh speaks about her show, The Wall: Live in LA.
The Wall will be showing at 6pm and 9pm on THIS SATURDAY, JAN. 30TH 2010 ONE NIGHT ONLY at the Ivy Substation theater (home of the Actors' Gang) in Culver City. The performance will feature over 50 artists including an 8 piece core band, 18 voice choir, 5 piece string section, special instrumentation, dance/acting cast. The production has attracted the attention of Oscar nominee, Peter Spirer, who filmed the above clip of our rehearsal.
Ticketing and info: www.insemillation.com
The production is also an aggressive fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) -- we have proposed the fundraiser to representatives of WWP as a parallel between the crippling isolation faced by The Wall's central character, "Pink" and symptoms of modern day Post Traumatic Stress Disorder exhibited by many veterans returning from combat.
Come show some support for some incredible musicians, a timeless album, and a great cause.
Great Show, The Director really did a great job making this come together. Fun stuff.
