  • @MmayerMMA16 McCoy Martial Arts Institute in VA, Amir Sadollah's home before he went to TTC and Xtreme Couture. Thai kick power is all about hip pop and pivot; but to generate power with the lead leg roundhouse, without a jump switch or step, requires some lateral lean; but yeah, while I am first and foremost a grappler, I'm really starting to appreciate how effective the lead inside leg kick, and kick feints are, because I've always been a power guy when it comes to striking. Happy training.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Yes i do how about you? Blackman mma in P.A. We have two fighters that were on tuf 14 this next season. And if u can only get power by leaning hit the gym. I kinda get what ur sayin tho.

  • @MmayerMMA16 Notice I said 'for the most part', and I was very careful to phrase it that way; Kit Cope, Rob McCullough, Pat Barry etc. have legitimate elite level Muay Thai, but their ilk are exceedingly rare in MMA. If you're throwing a lead leg kick, you better have crazy lean to the side, if you want to generate any power. Do you actually train at a reputable gym, or are you just a fanboy? This combo works if its done properly, feinting kicks are just as effective as feinting punches.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Jose aldo, Anderson silva, Brandon vera all have garbage muay thai? LMFAO yea rite. Go ahead throw a kick leaning the whole way to ur side like that and see what happens. And you always put ur weight on ur back leg unless ur floating while ur kicking

  • @MmayerMMA16 Yes actually, K-1 fighters feint kicks all the time, feinting the power leg low kick is a great way to get your opponent to redistribute his weight on his rear leg, thus making the lead leg kick to your opponent's rear leg more powerful. You don't see it all that often in MMA, because the kickboxing and Muay Thai in MMA is, for the most part, garbage.

  • @loves2sploosh ok i gotcha

  • @MmayerMMA16 i totally get what your saying im just saying sometimes some flashy shit that people rarely see happens sometimes thats all

  • @loves2sploosh its common sense. Do you drop your hand to throw something? how smart does that sound too you? i been trainging mma 4 years now and ive seen people make mistakes like this and it didnt end well for them. But go ahead whatever you so let me know how this technique works for you

  • @MmayerMMA16 just because someone dosnt try it dosnt mean it wouldnt work
