Hi Renee- my name is Crystal and I am a twin. We are both deafblind. We have some low vision but use sign language and Braille as ways to communicate. I have a guide dog as well named Umbro from G.E.B.
I have 90% hearing loss and 20/700 with 20% field vision in my right eye. My left eye is blind. I will try to post a video on here when I learn how LOL
Nice to meet you Renee,
Crystal and her guide dog Umbro

Hi Renee,
I am Patty. I am DeafBlind as well. I have 5% vision left. I totally relate with you as well. Being DB is a constant struggle however think positive Renee.
Keep going to HKC and there are lots of wonderful support at HKC. I receive amazing support from CNIB. I use the white cane, I tactile and I am learning braille now as well.
Keep in touch and smile!
Tactile smile,
Patty (DBMusings)
Hi, Patty,
I appreciate you commenting here. I do love HKNCI. I learned a lot of there, though.I have Usher with less than 3% left with a visual acuity of 20/500. That fuzziness is the real pain. I use a cane well, but I also have a dog guide named Joey. He is wonderful. I have learned Braille and began ASL while at HKNC.I will check your site out too.
In His Light with His Voice in my Dark Silence,
