i actually put mine in an otterbox defender. but before that I did buy the orange with white stripe version SP at a discount. it wasn't what I was looking for in regards to drop protection and sand/dust protection. Also the flap bothered me a lot when on a call. the case is built very well and it feels good in the hand but it just wasn't what I was looking for. i'll keep it as it is a looker but not sure if i'll use it anytime soon.

Does the flap dangle while open?
Or does it latch (or magnet) onto the backside?

Yes, flap dangles, but if you use a bluetooth headset, the case never really needs to be open was my justification for buying it.

Its not bad, thin, slides in pocket nicely due to the leather. Feels great in the hand.
