My Aunt Iva is Earl and Audie Webster's kid sister who I believe sang with Earl & Audie on the Cas Walker Show. I've always been a fan of this kind of music and my son enjoys it as well. He is now learning to play and sing some of Earl & Audie's music and wants to sing some of it in church. It makes me proud to keep it in the family.

This was one of the strongest bluegrass groups in history. Maybe the best. You just couldn't miss with Paul and Blaine as sidemen to the imcomparable Osborne Brothers.

Always loved to hear Paul sing back with the Knoxville Grass. If anyone has some footage of them I would love to see it. Paul always used to sing the house down on Darby's Castle.

Hello from Jacksonville, Fl
I just came across your post and was glad to see someone in my age group (I'm 5 yrs older than you) still around who remembers these guys.
I remember when Carl Butler brought Audie and Earl up from Sweetwater and asked that Cas put them on. Yeah, Willie G and Bud were quite busy back then. Playing on Cas's shows and still finding time to record with Carl Story as part of his Rambling Mountaineers.

Blaine Sprouse on the fiddle..

I used to date Paul. Wish that had worked out... Used to watch him sing w/the Knoxville Grass and open for Ricky Skaggs at Buddy's Bar-B-Q. Is just as good looking today as he was then. Still got that clear beautiful voice. Miss those days!

This really brings back fond memories, for a 70 year old man. I used to listen to Willie G.,and Bud Brewster, also another very fine duet,Audie, and Earl Webster.they all played on The Cas Walker Show. This is the show where I first heard Dolly Parton. The Brewster Bros. use to back her up.
As did the Webster Bros. Thanks, banjoey1

Such a great group, and Years ahead of their time -
I always thought Paul was the Osborne's vocal glue during that period... his voice blended so well. I used to work with his sister, Elaine - Whole family were such class acts!
