Johnny Cage has always been my favourite character in the games and the movie for that matter. His fight against Scorpion was hardcore although he pretty much had his ass handed to him and only won through the use of weapons.

Yeah I liked him too, too bad he was killed too early in the 2nd movie, though that was to mirror how he was killed after MK2 (they killed him off cause the guy that played him in games got fired). But I think he'll have a better role in the reboot series, I hear his actor wanted to reprise his role but we'll see

I hated the sequel for endless reasons! Almost all the actors from the first movie wanted to return but backed out due to the terrible script. As for the guy who peformed Johnny's moves in the first two games didn't he do a commercial for another company dressed as Johnny Cage?

Yeah, that's why Midway fired him :P. And true the 2nd movie wasn't all that great, I only watched it jsut to see all the Kombatants live in action, though I must admit Baraka's attire was pretty bad, Scorpion's service to Shao Kahn was never explained (He's supposed to be neutral) and how did Noob just come out of Ermac (though to their defense, the movie was released before they explaioned that Noob was the original SZ), and why was Jade evil? But hopefully MK Devistation will be good.

Scorpion once served evil in the games on the condition that his mortal life would be returned to him but he was betrayed so the fact that he was a guardian of Shang Tsung in the first movie is excusable. You'd think after Liu Kang killed Shang Tsung in the final battle Scorpion would no longer have any reasons to follow anyone's orders but they never explained how he was ressurected following his vicious duel in Hell with Johnny Cage or why he was serving under Shao Kahn.

Shang admitted he had Scorpion under mind control, and there were points where Scorpion served evil only for his own benifits. I assume he only came back cause since he's already dead, he can't really die again, if he dies, he goes back to Netherrealm and he can escape the realm. In MK4, Sub-Zero's ending, Scoprion said "You can't kill a deadman, I will simply return" but that ending was non-canon though.

Yeah, this is an awesome tribute and really fits the character. I loved him in the first movie and Shaolin Monks the best, but that's just me. His fight with Scorpion, Zepp, was pretty much won with weapons but before Scorpion got all skulled out Cage was doing pretty good and holding his own as far as I'm concerned. ^^

And the "Friendship" afterward was just awesome... >.>
