  • I have the Canon s3 IS, and is now running like ome mean machine thanks to the guys at CHDK!

    It's like having a whole new camera, for free!

    Most point and shoots don't have the ability to use a remote shutter.

    My s3 IS was one of those. But thanks to CHDK, my s3is now has one!

    I have my Canon now hooked up to my Arduino Mega Microcontroller, and the abilities are ENDLESS!!!

    Very cool stuff! Iwas looking to buy another camera.

    Not anymore!!

  • so does the original software work with it or is it 2 menus?

  • i want to control also focus and aperture in video mode and i need it to shoot 1080p is that possible?

  • @umairamin1 yes, it does not install on your camera at all. it just runs out of the memory card.

  • may i remove chdk if i don't like it is that possible

  • I am in the CHDK menu. Where do I now find the abillity to make the camera shoot in interval by itself?

  • @MrCrgl Yes, x3 bitrate, optical zoom(for some camera it is disabled when shooting in movie mode), and many more.

  • @quanvantruong make a bootable fat16 partition with 10 mb and another fa32 with the rest and extract chdk to the fat16 partition
