New Years Day Orbs 2012

I was riding down the street leaving my sisters house -we had a new years eve party. headed to the house, i usually take a certain way home, but for some reason, something told me to drive straight, and take another road, as soon as i was about to turn on my street, i noticed these orange-red orbs at first i thought they were chinese lanterns but they look pretty different from the ones i see on t.v. or the internet maybe they were lanterns, but they seems like they were taking off from the ground, but i never actually seen them leaving the ground, because they were rising from behind the trees. very smooth flight path, i wanted to get a closer look so i drove down the street , so i could come up on the other side of the railroad tracks to get a closer look,by the time i got to the other side, which took approx, 2-3 mins, they were gone. if these were lanterns, where did they go so fast?, my only guess is UFO-orbs.

Hi, we were in Mexico, Cozumel, watching same looking lights fly in a straight line in intervals... Red-orange lights, moving rather fast and without any sound, towards Yukatan. Of course, we were joking about UFO's... Where were you at?

They look more like UFO's than Orb's. They are moving too fast to be an orb. They are UFO's for sure. Happy 2012!
