Creeley was still teaching at the Unversity at Buffalo when I was an English major there in the early 90s and I used to see him walking around campus in the same brown sweater with the elbow patches all the time...what a sweet man and amazing poet.

Oh god, let's go./This is a poem for K. Patchen./Everywhere they are shooting people. /People people people people. /This is a poem for A. Ginsberg./I want to be elsewhere, elsewhere./This is a poem about a horse that got tired./Poor. Old. Tired. Horse, /I want to go home./I want you to go home./This is a poem which tells the story,/which is the story./I don't know. I get lost./If only they would stand still and let me./Are you happy, sad, not happy,/ please come. / This is a poem for everyone.

A life inspiring and changing clip. I've been reading things like this for decades. On my 77th birthday I had this poem read to me. I hope this horse gets home and happy.

Thank-you so much for posting this series of videos featuring Creeley. I began reading him eons ago in college, but sadly never got to see him read. Do you know what time this was from? btw I chose this one for my comment because it was my favourite of the four.
