Flight over Perdido Key Beach on 7/3/10 in a Cessna-172 at altitude 1,500 feet, shows the dark areas from tar and oil deposits on the beach, and the brownish oil contamination in the water, This is what they are NOT showing on television. There was only one small skimmer in the pass under the Flora-Bama bridge. BP and our federal government are NOT doing anything to protect our beaches. Only a pathetic and ineffective attempt is made to remove the oil once it washes ashore.
Obama would make a great President in the Middle East.

it is a terrible sight ;( i have a house on ono and spent the whole summer there but trust me there is an "attempt" of recovering the oil before it reaches the shore. for example during the week of june 10th there was a 3 mile long sheen that was 100 feet wide and half a foot deep that was 85% contained according to the coast guard over the radio that day. we had like 4 jack boats and it is much more cost efficient to recover the oil on land. not trying to spark anything but it is a tradgedy ;(
