SMILE EVERYONE!!!! I thought I would post this scene for the fans who love it as much as I do! I just love how in 2 minutes Basil is depressed, insane, a genius, triumphant, and camera happy! Talk bout an emotion change! I always smile when he does his little insane laugh. "heh- ha Ha HA! yEs! WE- WE'LL SET THE TRAP OFF NOW! 8D" The Great Mouse Detective belongs to Disney, duh.

Well, I appreciate your honesty. However, I truly love this movie along with many others. It was this character, Basil, that got me into Sherlock Holmes and rekindled my love for Disney, animation, and literature. What could be claimed as "wooden and predictable" to you might have changed someone else's life. Everyone has their own opinion and while I do not like Michael Eisner myself, I don't think this film was a product of his attitude. Please be respectful of the people who love the movie.

One of my favorite Disney movies from my childhood, despite being practically unheard of. Now grown, I am a big Holmes fan as well. Recently watched this again and had fun pointing out all the similarities I never knew about as a kid. This is a fantastic scene, but your description just MADE it. I snickered out loud more than once. Thanks! :)
