Because I owe you an extra video for being out of town on Halloween...

Union Square, Manhattan, NY

Monday, November 3, 2008, around 4:00 p.m.

Ricky Grove, Ben Grussi and I were in New York that weekend for the Machinima Film Festival. On this Monday afternoon, we'd just come from The Strand bookstore a couple blocks up the street, and were preparing to hop on the subway over to Canal Street for what would end up being a really great dinner in Chinatown.

Absolutely nothing of consequence happens in this video, it's just a slice of life capturing the hustle and bustle of this big city by this boy who doesn't spend much time in one.

Video was caught with a cheap Pentax Optio A10 camera; audio captured using a Marantz PMD660 with built-in stereo mics (because I forgot to pack a cable for my good microphone)

  • I love NY!

  • how i miss new york, how i really miss union square

  • My favorite part of NYC. Was born and raised in the Village before we moved to Woodside, Queens back in 1977. Still consider it "the old neighborhood", that's for sure!!!

  • I'm from a small town. I get a little claustrophobic just watching this!

    So many people. o.O
