@Rock4God246 not all dell R models have switchable cover, del 15R/n5010 does not have it and 15R/n5110 has, are you shure you don't have the first one?!

This commercial wouldn't bother me except for the fact that I just spent half an hour on the phone with Dell tech support, trying to get my black lid off to switch on the new one, with no success. The old one will not come off no matter what I do! I push in the button really hard and push the lid away from the hinge side (or try to push) but it won't budge at all. Why doesn't Dell have a walk-in store like Apple does? Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Please help!

I got the Dell Inspiron 15R 15.6" Laptop but I can't figure out if it has the switchable lid feature... Help?

@EmoCupcake152 If you have the feature, you should find a button along the middle of the top of the hinge side of the notebook.
