i don't want to come out as, lets say "racist" or disrespectful, but the Turkish army sacrificed a lot more than just soldiers... we lost children and mothers defending our country, we had children aged 15-17 join the army to defend ourselves because there were no more men left to draft and we had mothers walking behind enemy lines bringing food and ammunition ... i have the utmost respect for Anzacs and their bravery during the war... i can only just hope that nothing like this happens again
