In case you haven't heard yet, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.9 followed by a tsunami that struck Japan earlier today. Thousands of lives have been lost, cars and airplanes have been swept away by the water, and houses are burning down. Imagine if you were in their position - everything you had is suddenly gone, and you can't get it back. Wouldn't you want help?

The lives of these people has been changed forever. Their loved ones are gone, as well as all of their possessions. They literally have nothing left to call their own.

The tsunami is currently headed for Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Costa Rica/Mexico. So many alives will be affected by this disaster. Keep everyone who has been and will be affected in your thoughts and prayers.

There have been a few arguments on whether Japan deserves help or not based on disasters in America. Think about it, guys: we received so much help during 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. We need to give ourselves up for a little bit and help the Japanese get their life back in order. If this horrible tragedy happened to us, wouldn't we want all the help we could get? Put all of your differences aside - be thankful that you still have a home, a car, and a family to call your own; these people can no longer do that. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers and please try to donate any amount of money that you can.
Together, we can make a difference.
