The MXR EVH Phase 90 Shifter is a limited-edition version of the legendary MXR Phase 90. The Phase 90 was instrumental in creating the guitar tones on the early Van Halen records; the swirling, spacey sound on such songs as "Eruption," "Atomic Punk," and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love." The EVH 90 captures the warm, hypnotic tone of the vintage "script logo" Phase 90, and with the flip of a switch also delivers an intense, edgier phase tone.
It features rock-solid internal construction and an indestructible enclosure to ensure years of flawless performance. Add to this the Van Halen-approved striped graphics from the guitar that changed the world and you have a truly unique piece of rock history.

  • I don't understand why you don't consider a flanger or a phaser a stomp box. They are little pedals on the floor that you stomp on to activate, just like a fuzz face. Effects Pedal and Stompbox mean the exact same thing.

  • he didnt use JCM 800's mr know it all he used plexi's LOL

i dont he ever used 800's actually

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • mmm this pedal would do well for playing some 2112!!!

  • 0:34 is that knocking on heavens door?

  • @9balll i heard that until the peavey 5150 was released, eddie used an original soldano 100w head with a mid boost mod??

  • That crunch box isnt a bad pedal actually, I use the boss metal zone with the low level distortion , medium trebel, phaser through a trainor tube. It sounds just like the VH records to me.

  • does he use the mxr phase 90 with a pitch phaser?i think he use an octave too but i don't know, there's an octave on my vox tonelab st that sounds a little like evh when he does his dive bombs and stuff :p,but nice video

  • Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love was recorded with a MXR Flanger! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @ToneFactor will this also work on bass?
