My best guess is that they were inspired by Julius Aghahowa, the Nigerian footballer who is well known for his acrobatic goal celebrations. Of course, Julius does his flips with proper footware on grass!

  • second kid was pretty cool! where in Bamako was this shot?

  • In the Hippodrome, five or six blocks northeast of the Marche Medine and not far from the cliff where the rock quarries are.

  • Oh I see! I grew up in Badalabougou, but living in the US since 1999. I've heard ACI 2000 on the left bank of the river is something to see! Thanks

  • Bamako is really growing, ACI 2000 is completely new but so are many other parts of town. You probably wouldn't recognize big parts of it now!

  • I recently read a report by an organization of city mayors that said that Bamako is the fastest growing city in Africa and the 6th fastest growing city in the world! I can't post the link here, but if you google city mayors you could find it.

  • sisi !!! c les peit de chez moi !!! aieeeeeeeeeeee

  • haha These kids are awesome!... I wish i had neighbors who would do this stuff w me

  • see what healthy activities kids find when there is not constant tv and indoor activities!! Sure, they may sprain an ankle or something, but at least they are being active! My son's father is Malian, and I am Irish American. I show my son how it is in Africa to show him how his father grew up, and how lucky he is. Hopefully he will appreciate everything when he grows up!

  • Holy SHIT! 5/5

  • wow ni den misainw ka kene deeh !!!

  • wow

  • I saw that report also. I saw recent images of Bamako on wikimapia and you can definitely saw the changes although it doesn't say when the satellites images were taken.
