No I know ,but no one said faster just better...

@KrionStudio actually that isn't normal dude. If one's 200 splits are FASTER than a single 50, then there is a problem. If you swim 4x50 faster each time than you would a single 50, then it is problematic.
A long-distance swimmer will be able to MAINTAIN a good speed for a longer time, not best his 50-times on every split. u see what I mean?

@Kaarle15 actually that is normal. Some people are better at sprinting others at long. I am personally better at sprinting. And I'm new... I do my 50 freestyle for 26.3 secs

@swimmerforever2008 then something's wrong. you need to consult your coach about that:D

Yeah. Everyone knows these guys are bad swimmers.

you're absolutely right, being good at swimming is no indication of how good a swimmer you are....owait....i think you did it rong.

ur just ignorant. to be the best in the world in a 50m race takes more time and effort then any other race. perfection must be evident through all aspects of the race, the start, the turn and the finish.

actually the 50s take much longer to perfect than the other races... but i dont think they provide a good indication of how good a swimmer you are :P they are just really fun to watch :P
