  • @thelegendsaretrue cool! was that with the driver on the CD, or did you have to download anything from the Veho website?

  • Hallo Andy

does it work with MacOs 10.6 (Snow Leopard)?

    Thanks, great review

  • No, I don't think it will work in Snow Leopard as the software is PPC and SL is Intel only (I think). It's annoying.

  • Hi Andy, i have the vms-101, when i set it up to my comp it worked perfectly but now the screen is blank!? have you any idea how this is and what i could do to get it working again? everyhting seems t be fine but im just not getting any picture!?!?!??

  • PC or Mac? what version? have you installed any other software recently?

You should really check with Veho as I don't work for them and don't know the internals of the product :-/

  • Thank you

  • this not a very good camera, first off the drivers suck big time and crash almost daily.... it also have a very small zoom..

  • Camera is very useful, but the Mac software is a waste of disk space. Veho acknowledged that there is a problem, over a year ago, saying that they would soon fix it.

No; they haven't, and any attempts to contact them result in an 'I'm on holiday message.

Photo Booth works, up to a point; only one preview size available.

Does anyone know of any other software which will work with this microscope?

  • thanx

  • I wonder if those complaining about low magnification like me did not find the high magnification setting. To illustrate this, take off the cap and place tightly down on e.g. print. It should focus at about "30x". Then turn the wheel almost all the way to about "400x" and you will see the image come into focus again (this time you have to adjust very carefully or you'll overshoot). Looks pretty good - you can easily the ink dots in the character.

  • so i got the 400x version. First of all the mini DV obviously doesnt fit into an Imac, and then secondly, after downloading the drivers it wont work.

    halp?

  • @stickhrk

You need to go in the "Options" to select the window size for pictures and videos.

  • hi can someone help, my microcapture software doesnt let me go into preferences, when i click it nothing happens, i need to go in and change the size of the video capture please help :(
