To Be Or Not To Be

My arrangement of a VERY cool song my friend Philip DeStefano wrote. GOOGLE Philip if you want to know more about him. And yes - this is the FIRST video I've posted to the world where I am NOT UNPLUGGED on guitar. The Ibanez AS50 "ArtStar" model guitar was signed by Lee Ritenour; it plays nice enough, and I thought it fit the mood of the song well. Other than the drums - which were programmed out of my SONAR Session Drummer software - everything seen was video'd as it was being recorded - EXCEPT for the first few words of the vocal track - which DID come from a different take. Further truth be known - some minor timing mistakes were corrected in the audio editing stage. I was also hoping the lava lamp in the background of the guitar solo shoots would turn out better - in case anywone was wondering what that thing is, but oh well...There's also a VERY brief appearrance by Evil Emperor Zurg in the middle of the guitar solo, I think. @RDblues47 - Thanks man. I downloaded/installed Sony Vegas (get the cheap version!) for around $60 and while the learning curve has been a little steep - it HAS paid off in the look of the final videos. I shoot the footage w/ a Canon A560 (?) digital still camera w/ an upgraded memory card, so I can hold about 7 minutes worth fo video at a time.

Drew, The guitar was sold to me for $200 from an acquaintance who had won it from a radio station call-in contest. It's autographed by Lee Ritenour, and DOES play very nice - especially considering it has NEVER had a case - so far as I know & has always sat out in the elements. I need to remedy that one day, I guess. I hope your AS50 does well by you & that I'll be commenting on the video you record w/ it in the next few weeks.... BEST, D
