  • this post could have been clearer if it were a good cam - not from a cellphone.

there's a full version of this song... just type Ina nin Kabikolan. Also watch the video response above.

The full version reveals the real concept of the composition - not this one...

this composition was meant to be orchestrated by the composer - Mr. Joseph Reburiano. Only that the organizers did not allow minus ones or any canned music on keyboards, plus, they trimmed down the allowed instruments to be used.

  • O, Inang namomotan, balaog na banal.

    O, Reina nin kalangitan,

Magdanay ka, omawon ka Virgen de Penafrancia.

O, mahal niamong Ina, bilog ming boot, danay ming itatao.

    Ika samong rinorokyaw,

    O, Ina nin Kabikolan,

    Samong Inang namomotan,

Samong balaog na banal, sagkod pa man.

  • Poon sa sirangan, ilaw ka magin man sa solnopan.

    Sain man magduman ika'n rinorokyaw,

    daing ibang sambit, ika.

An kasalogan, awit an saimong kaomawan,

    Sain man magduman, ika'n rinorokyaw,

    Binabantog an kamurawayan

  • Ina nin Kabikolan

Ika an nagdadara kan kaboronyogan sa samong rona, bilog na Kabikolan.

Ika an kosog, ika an parasorog, an paalawan.

Kami simong banwaang inataman, abang hamis kan pag-atang.

    Sa kaogmahan, asin man kamondooan,

    Simo kami minaarang.

  • Very poor audio and video quality.

  • For non-Bikolano viewers, the formal music video for this song (Ina nin Kabikolan (music video)) has subtitles in English. I just did a transliteration, to fully translate Bikol to English is really tedious due to nuances of language.

  • ton0824,

bali-baliktad po arrangement dito ng lyrics... bale, the 1st verse should be the 3rd

  • oh. tnx for that vicnierva. congrats to the composer then.

  • Hi, Mr RJ,

The competition is hymn-writing, the performance however and of course would be interpreted in whatever way the composer/artist wanted it to be.

I believe that any song will be very much wanting without it being sung, regardless if done by a chorus or by a soloist.

Nevertheless, the winning song is undoubtedly a hymn. Watch the music video I made for this song, it's by far clearer. I hope you'll be able to appreciate it.

  • ha?? kala ko ba Hymn -writing competition to.

    Choral Competition??

sino ba kalaban nung choir? yung choir o yung composer?
