Here's my little shootout of 8 FREE(!) Guitar Amp VST Plugins that i use to record some ideas @home. I recorded all of them with KeFiR Impulse Response Plugin and a Celestion G12T75/SM57 Impulse Response. All Amps were dialed to 12 o'clock settings unless otherwise stated below.

Pure Mono Guitar Tone - No Mastering, No additional FX, No Confusing Backing Tracks.

Some Normalization done.

Guitar was a custom Ibanez RG with a high-output blade humbucker ;)

  • This vst-s works in fl studio?!?!?!

  • @vidroli I Don't know about Fruity Loops, but if FL can handle VST Plugins it'll probably handle all of the above as well!

  • Perfect video. You used a guitar part that focused on the tonal quality of the plugins. It sounds like you didn't use any effects (always impossible to hear sounds through echo and reverb, etc), You ran all the amps at halfway for everything, giving us a solid foundation for comparing the harmonics, and balance of factors in general, for each plugin. The levels were comparable with each plugin.

It's such a great thing to see this. Perhaps the best amp plugin comparison I've seen. Thanks!

  • @laxr5rs Thank you!!! And yes, no FX except a little bit of normaliation.
