HEY! I am a girl too, and I have fished in many a tournament (although I am new to fly fishing, sport fishing is my life) Don't say things like that. Girls CAN fish and are actually normally better right off the bat with fly fishing (because you need to be gentle and guys are too rough with it) By saying that being a girl makes it more hard your making people think that. GET OUT there and prove you deserve to be in the boat with the big-fish. Because if you love the sport, you TOTALLY deserve it

I have only ever used spinning reels while fishing (I am pathetic with bait-casters) and I never thought I'd like fly fishing (i thought it was too slow) Until I tried it... I went out the other day for the first time and LOVED IT, I'm not that bad either! Your videos are great as my boyfriend is a pretty crappy teacher lol (don't tell him lol) You give me the info and I'll finesse it.. lol THANKS!

Short and sweet demo! Some guys get psuedo intellectual and use mulitiple syllable words we rarely hear to describe the simplest things!

Hey Booniecat...I have an old fly rod given to my by my father. Should I try and use it or should I get a new one? I feel like a goof trying to fly fish! Number one I am a girl and number two it is HARD! I catch alot of trees and brush...i think i got it stuck in my hair once. But I really want to learn and will keep trying!
