York Gliding Centre, Rufforth, UK. An excellent piece of film with commentary, taken by Mark Boyle (YGC Chief Flying Instructor) on a wave flight in 2006 with Barry 'Dapper' Douglas in the Twin Astir they had at the time, Foxtrot Echo Alpha.

Flying from York Gliding Centre airfield at Rufforth, a couple of miles west of York. Features some beautiful scenes above the clouds and 8 to 9 knot lift giving climb rates over 800 feet per minute. Due to not carrying oxygen, they were obliged to stop climbing at 12,000 ft ish. www.yorkglidingcentre.co.uk The best wave site in NE England!
