You won't see that kind of madness ever again. Indiana High School Basketball was killed by the IHSAA by instituting the class system.

The RCA Dome doesn't even see that kind of attendance for the Final Four!!!

yep. basketball used to be fun in Indiana. it proved that the little guy could defeat the big guy but that won't happen again.

It's entirely possible that even if LeBron James had played his High School basketball in Indiana that the place still wouldn't be packed like this. Forget "Hoosiers", this is the defining moment of Indiana High School Basketball.

wow im blown away because of the attendance of this game. That's very impressive. Damon Bailey was a beast at IU. I still say to this day that the 1993 team was the greatest college team to never win it all.

@skillee Damon Bailey on bedford would win there sectional, Pat graham would win a sectional at floyd central here in our conference too. Chad Gilbert would win a sectional, he won a D2 title at USI and bruce pearl was his coach. He was 6 foot 9 swingman with range. 30 and 20 plus , points boards cbs title game. not to mention we had a guy paris bryant who reverse dunked regionals on bailey. Seymour regionals alone held 12,000 people. the gym would hit 85 degrees and communitites were involved

@skillee Hey buddy, this is the only time i can recall the whole hoosier dome being opened for a game. Not even the final four in NCAA when its here did they open the whole place up,only a third of it. This attendedance record for a hgh school game will never change. The hoosier dome is gone, and you can only have crowds this big for highschool games in indiana. Damon Bailey played in my high school conference, my school got him once or twice in 4 years. our regionals were war

the 93 IU team was great and would have won it all had henderson not gotten hurt. 92 IU would have won it all if not for ted valentine in the semis vs. duke fouling out IU's top 4 scorers as they blew a 15-point lead. BUT the best team not to win it all was the 75 IU team - 31-0 til a 2-point elite 8 loss with scott may hurt. and bird was a freshman on that team before he left...the 75 IU team was better than the 32-0 76 title team

The IHSAA really screwed up our beloved state tournament. Never was something so pure handled so recklessly.
