Issued in Canada April 1971 on London 148.

This 1971 classic only reached #22 on the RPM 100, on May 15th, although it went to #2 on CHUM.

The original stereo mix is featured here, taken from the LP "Canadian Mint" on K-Tel TC 215. On "The Poppy Family's Greatest Hits" album, it is mono, so this mix is something of a rarity, never having been officially reissued in digital format.

Terry Jacks' 1983 remake of "Where Evil Grows" can be seen here:

  • What was the first record you ever bought? Had to save my money from selling flower seeds door to door to get this one.

  • @gogunn

The first record in my collection was "Walk Right In" by The Rooftop Singers. I still have it, too!

  • I love this song! Hard to believe Terry sang Seasons in the Sun. Everyone makes catastrophic mistakes once in awhile. Huge thumbs up on this one.

  • I still like their music. Are they in the Canadian Hall of Music,if not they should be.

  • @edapSnoJ You talking about Nirvana?? Ya, they borrowed a few riffs. I don't begrudge them though. Brilliant!

You can actually You tube some footage of them covering Terry Jack's Seasons in the sun. Spooky.

  • What's that? Nobody else noticed one of the most famous riffs of the 90's at the 1:34 mark? ;)

  • Big thumbs up on this one! I like the harmony with Terrry and Susan.
