  • Beautiful. Would make a fine requien for Freddie.

  • So that's what santa does the rest of the year.

  • I love his stuff, but I don't really understand this piece - maybe I need to listen to it a dozen more times. Was reading a very interesting interview with Mr Rak though, about how he has developed and teaches both forward and backward rest and free stroke (very obvious at around 2min and with the thumb later) and the discussions he had with Yamashita.

  • close ur eyes and feel the sound, you will hear it singing to u..

  • Now THAT is a performance!

  • @HeavensMeat It is - obviously - "very simple":-) He shows hereby one of his countless improvements: a tremolo played with thumb. He uses his thumb as a pick, while he can (I listened to that on my own ears I swear!) still use the other two fingers for another tremolo on two strings(G and B) playing the melody with the little finger on E string. This is much more "easy" yet terrific nevertheless..

  • I wonder how he does that at 4:21

  • 4:47 is a direct quote from a Danza by Vincenzo Galilei. I am the master of spotting obscure musical references! muahaha!

Also, Stepan Rak's performance here is awe inspiring. His understanding of the guitar is beyond what most of us can ever hope to achieve. Bravo!
