This is my first video created so go easy on me :P

Basically I was watching clips of the endless staircase glitch and at a similar time was looking at contemporary piano music. I cam across the Devils Staircase played by Anderson and noticed a similarity.

You can't deny it :P even the names are similar (Endless Staircase vs Devils Staircase)

  • The concept of having a single tone or set of tones ascending or descending like the endless staircase does is called, in music theory terms, a Sheppard's Scale or Sheppard's Tone. Look it up, it's quite fascinating actually. It's basically what Legeti was aiming for when he wrote the Staircase.
