Look out for my version of leaf house im working on right now. It has the style of the live version which i appreciate how much more darker it sounds. One thing this song needs is doubled vocals and the incessant repetitive synth ring, or else it loses what i think animal collective was looking for.

you need to stop plugging your bullshit of what animal collective was looking for because if you're playing music for what somebody else intended (namely the band that you're doing a cover of) then you aren't doing it right.

why would you play the same song everyone has heard? what's the point of that? that's boring to me.

who's to say what voice sounds better with what, this is her version/interpretation of this song, emulating Avey Tare/Panda Bear's voice is pretty pointless no? SHE'S playing the song, not them, if you wanna hear their version, search for it. They make great music and share it with the world, its meant to be enjoyed, if that means covering it in a slightly different way, then so be it

It sounds like you know how to play well but... I'm an avid musician, and ive been in many bands, as well as book gigs at every venue in ol' San Antonio. I say pass. There are enough douchey hipsters who play acoustic guitar and cover hipster bands like animal collective. Learn to play more instruments as well as more open to more music. Learn more instruments, and more music; listen to EVERYTHING. Then you will maybe be good enough to call yourself a real music enthusiast.
