Seven clips from Chapter 12 and 13 of Dan Simons DVD with John Bozzelli. The really important points they make are:
Use a simple Palette. Monochrome/Gray Scale is best. Brightness/Ironbow is 2nd best and is Color.
Focus is really important.
High Temperature Gradients are BAD
Never Shoot Uncoated Metal
Shoot the Part NOT the Mold
Reflections aren't generally a problem
Radiometric Motion Video is necessary to measure Purge temperature
These are highlights from Chapter 12 and 13 of the 16 Chapters, 100 minute DVD where Dan Simon explains Thermal Infrared theory and how he has applied IR to various problems throughout General Motors since 1984.
