Lt. John Roberts' Unit: Combat Assignment Unit 7, 168th Signal Photo Company. My father's unit was one of the few units Combat Assignment Units to remain intact from the USA to past V-J Day into the occupation of Japan. Frank Van der Veer went on to win an Academy Award for King Kong. Many of the still photos from other videos I have posted are taken by still photographer David Wallis or Robert Muldrew. David Wallis wrote an amazing book on WWII Signal Corps Photographers, and the 168th, titled: "Saga of the Seventh: The Odyssey of Fve Combat Cameramen During WWII".
