@Ty4ons There were tons of mario games. mario was in super mario brothers, super mario brothers 2, super mario brothers 3, he appeared in donkey kong, he also appeared in pin ball, he was also in nes open tournament golf, and not to mention the origional punch out. thats what 7 apearences on the NES alone? I'm pretty sure in the battle of mario vs sonic mario wins. and if you want me to add the 20some odd apearences he has on the snes i could do that too =)

What about Sonic Adventure?I'd rather play Sonic Adventure than Mario 64 any day.Way more of a story.But I do admit that most of the newer 3d sonic games are crap.
Not to mention Sonic Rush Adventure for the DS.that is truly a great game, bringing Sonic back to his roots...kind of

Yeah, Mario's always been more fun IMO... in Sonic games the big draw was that he could run fast, but in later levels you needed to slow down to get around a million obstacles and the controls just weren't tight enough. Only 2 Mario games? You're forgetting the 3 NES Mario games, Mario 64, and Mario Sunshine... Not to mention that all Sonic games since the Saturn have completely sucked.

BTW, there were 4 true Sonic games (Sonic 1/CD/2/3) and only two mario games (Super Mario World/2 yoshis island) and the second one is'nt better than the first.
