Kl Saigal was born in jammu.And his education is only matric passed.Died in jalindhar.And his last movie parwana1947 is released after the death.This information is collect to theDehli Magzine of july 1949 Shama and its editor is late Yousuf Dhelvi.

KL Saigal sahib was a Punjabi gentleman. Naturally his Punjabi was supreme.He sang only two Punjabi songs. It is learnt that he made a promise to singers of Punjabi language that he will not dominate their area so that they could survive and he kept it up.Therefore, maximun number of his songs are from Hindi films.

K L Saigal was born in Jammu. But the way he has sung Punjabi songs shows as if he belonged to a Punjabi family. The Greatest singer he was.

I used to hear this song on the casette often but gave it away to a friend. My father though a Karnatic musician used to rate this as the best of Saigal sahab and I am inclined to agree with him. Every time I hear this, it seems Saigal Sahab is before me and I am enjoying his presence in his Super Causal body. Thanks friend for posting this song.
