Those opposed to the idea that all prophecy was fulfilled by AD 70 often appeal to Isaiah 17 and the prediction of the destruction of Damascus. It is claimed that this prophecy has never been fulfilled. This claim is historically false. There is nothing about Isaiah 17 that is unfulfilled! Important video, so check it out!

  • can you explain the prophecies regarding Israel return, I have heard some say the true Israelites will not return to The land, and have heard some of them say the Jews in Israel today are Edomite/ Jews. how can we be sure who is who. yet I see in the bible Israel will return to the land & Nations will come to Jerusalem & celebrate the feasts. which Christians & Islam don't do. I understand this confusion is some where between the Gap of the old testament & New but explained in the OT,

  • anybody better then this guy on youtube on eschatology? I doubt it, great explanation of isaiah 17, thanks Donnie boy

  • @MrDonPreston But verses 7-10 of Revelation 20 seem to be talking about a time when armies would surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. Then satan was thrown into the Lake of Fire. I'm assuming this Lake of Fire is upon the earth (not the afterlife), just as it was said that the Beast and False Prophet were thrown ALIVE into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 19)

  • @MrDonPreston My friend Adam Maarschalk are trying to wrap our mind around how Revelation 20:7-10 has already been fulfilled. Verses 4-6 seem to fit into the time period of Nero Caesar and his 'MARK,' since he made everyone under the jurisdiction of Rome pinch incense and declare "CAESAR IS LORD.' Upon doing that people were given A LIBELLUS, which they had to have in order to buy or sell. So at the end of Rev. 20:4-6 that would seem to be 70 AD for those who didn't take this MARK.

Give me some idea of the specific questions you have on Revelation 20:4f and I will see what I can do.

Don't forget to check out the revised Babylon book though. I have a ton of material on the millennium in that,. and it addresses some of the most common questions and objections to preterism.

  • 2. @MrDonPreston *(continued from comment above)* In the valley of Rephaim - The valley of Rephaim is mentioned in 2 Samuel 5:18, 2 Samuel 5:22; 2 Samuel 23:13; 1 Chronicles 11:15; 1 Chronicles 14:9.

P.S. You offered to make a video presentation on anything we could ask for. I was wondering if you could explain Revelation 20:4-10? I will also look into the Revised Babylon book you mentioned as well.

  • 1. You are correct again @MrDonPreston. Barnes Notes Commentary of Isaiah 17 says this : As the farmer cuts down and collects his grain and removes it from the harvest field, so the enemies of Ephraim would come and remove the people and their wealth to a distant land. This received a complete fulfillment when the ten tribes were removed by the Assyrians to a distant land. This was done by Tiglath-pileser 2 Kings 15:29, and by Shalmaneser 2 Kings 17:6. *(CONTINUED)*

  • Thanks MrPreston . Very informative as always. I hope many who long to see Damascus destroyed to fulfill the prophecy will watch this and learn.
