GS with a turbo wouldn't make it an RS-T just because it has a 420a. It would be considered a GS w/ Turbo. RS is simply the base model name for the 420a eclipse, while GS is a step up from RS considering it's attributes when the 2g's came out via 95-99. It's a GS w/ Turbo. RS has nothing to do with having a 420a.

i literally have no idea about the underlying shit in cars but just want to get that nice growl outa my 99 eclipse gs, all that would need to be purchased is a cat back exhaust? and how much would that be cuz i saw one as low as $180, and how much did that increase your power? noticeable?

@jbirdboy90 cat-back is more than enough on a GS. One day you most likely will come to a realization that a stock car with a turbo is a better investment. The power gains are minimal to say the least, if you want noticeable gains you're going to have to put multitude of parts on: air intake, cat-back, high flow cat/straight pipe (removes catalytic converter), exhaust header, etc.
Even then, the car will not be making more than 15 HP. Goodluck if it's what ya wanna do.

If you add a turbo to a regular eclipse gs, would that make it a gs-t?? Lol serious question tho

@newyork2490 technically yes. But in the DSM world, people would just call it an RS-T since it has the 420a motor in it.

If I wanted to get a repair place to put in the megan exhaust, how much would it run me?

You would have to call around shops for an estimate at least.
