This appears to be a surplus Russian submarine, the windows in the front are a give away. Only Russians put windows on something that goes underwater at tons of atmospheres of pressure. They either bought it from Russia or they bought the plans, probably just bought the plans as most Russian subs are rusting in port or are in a stage of salvage.

I sincerely feel sorry for these beautiful souls inside a submarine for they will simply vanish into the abyss of the Arab Gulf.

@labyrinth75 Hey IDIOT. How well does a big nuclear attack sub work in littoral waters??? YOU ARE RETARDED, if you dont know anything about strategic planning, just shut up and dont comment on it because you just made a fool out of yourself.. Well 2 years ago you did, but you are fucking hilarious!!! Have you ever tried to find a sub in littoral waters!??! Didnt think so. Do you know how noisy littoral waters are with trawlers, tankers, pleasure craft? Makes it quite DIFFICULT to say the least!

@llamaslyr Modern disel-electric submarines (DPS) are capable to stay submerged up to 4 days, not severeal hours like you said. DPS even more silence then the atomic ones. The Russian DPS Killo has been called the black hole definitely not because they are noisy. And doesn't matter how much money you put into your war machines. The only thing that does matter is which an answer will be. In 2007, Chellenger 2 was penetrated with RPG-29 in front. Till that moment it was considering as impossible.

@maydayfire You are absolutely wrong. Diesel subs need to surface after several hours to recharge their batteries and replenish oxygen supply. Nuclear subs can remain submerged for months at a time. Diesel subs are loud and Iran has nowhere near the technology on subs as the US. You have no clue how much money we put into developing the most advanced radar, stealth and turbine.

Named 'Al Fathum Al Salin' translates to 'By the mercy of god we float', this ship boasts some of the most advanced features in suicide technology. A spokesman for the US Navy said 'Iran might face problems during the live fire exercises it has planned for late October', he added ' we will be watching closely and have our cameras with us too.'

English subtitles would be nice

honestly i really feel sorry for these submarine crews because they could die intantly if they make a stupid move at strait of hormuz and the whole arab gulf. iranian navy is simply sitting target for U.S firepower at the area.
ok iranian crews,it's time to set up your life insurance policy! lol

the sitting target are the americans with their oversize floating cities in the gulf (aircraft carriers). Dont feel sorry for these Iranians. Their sub is small, runs on batteries under the water hence it is very silent. So the smaller you are the more cloak you appear.

does this submarine actually submerge at all. we seem to see just before and then its back on the surface. we never actually see it go down or up.
