Can I use an NTSC digital camcorder in a 50Hz power region?
Can I use a PAL digital camcorder in a 60Hz power region?
Well yes you can, BUT, you'll get flickering at about 20Hz when filming with a fluorescent light source. This video demonstrates the change in light levels sampled by the camcorder and sweeps through a 180degree phase range to show the level changes at whatever phase you happen to be filming at. Firstly PAL filming in a 60Hz region, then NTSC filming in a 50Hz region. Application written in LabVIEW.
