This is the "after" video of the 90 Geo Metro. It is going to be my new daily driver. Everything works on it now and it runs great. My next project is to convert my first Geo ever to electric. It is a red 94 Metro that used to be my daily driver. The plan is to sell as much of the internal combustion pieces to fund the conversion. There are kits out there for as little as $2K, but finding $2K will be a little difficult, so I wanna do it for free.....

  • That's a great car for an electric conversion as there are adapter plates, battery racks and full kits made especially for that model.

It's also lightweight and has very few electrics - that also keeps the cost down. Best of luck!

  • Mr. Shoebridge, It's an honor to have you visit my YouTube videos! This one's staying as an ICE as it runs too well; I've got over 80 miles on my electric Metro though, and I still love it to death! My next conversion will be an 86 Toyota Corolla, and it looks a little like a Tredia...:)

  • @1997FordProbeGT Sure why not. I'll do that tomorrow.....

  • @1997FordProbeGT No, it's pretty messed up from front to back-even the front tire and wheel cover got scraped up. But, i'm not a body man and won't be able to make it look right no matter what I do; so I'll get as much of the paint from the other car off as I can and leave it at that.

  • @1997FordProbeGT I ordered a new side view mirror on eBay, so I'll put that on and I'll buff out the scrape as best I can and call it good. It's not like it was going to win any beauty contests anyway. I'm just kind of sad that I spent all that time on it just to have that happen to it. Oh well.....

  • @1997FordProbeGT Yeah, car was parked, so I wasn't in it. I saw your video! That is too cool to run into your old one. I was just watching the old video where your locks were frozen! Been there, done that, lol. I keep mine unlocked and sometimes I STILL can't get the doors open in the dead of winter.....

  • @1997FordProbeGT Thanks! You have a sharp eye, those are indeed from a 95 parts car I had. They feel a lot more comfortable to me. Sad story about this geo though is that it got sideswiped a couple weeks ago...:(

  • @vpoppv Haha! Great stuff! Make sure you get a Corolla without rust and you'll be fine!

  • They are surprisingly well built! Thanks for your comment!!

  • Great job. Geo Metros are awesome cars with a certain charm to them. Most Metro owners end up loving their cars
