These "point "Gatherers" in real life are just "Money Gatherers" playing for that next big contract....or looking to hit a certain # of homers to collect a fat bonus etc
You know howmany pro athletes play for themselves ?? A LOT....it's just a lucrative job to most of these guys...they dont care much about winning or losing at the end of the day....why would they making 10 MILLION/ YEAR

@SolidRaider6 my point is that you have very, very few teams in MLB that can actually win a championship......95% of the league knows going into the season they have zero chance at a world series

@ColdDish1 The Phillies just got good recently, they haven't always been this good. Any Chicago team is capable of winning a championship due to being a big market, thus being able to spend on big players.

@SolidRaider6 atleast the dodgers can compete ....whitesox are up and down and hardly in the class of the Yankees, Redsox,Phillies etc
Bottom line is that in bases 6 teams have a shot at winning the others are just farm teams for the Yankees, Redsox, Phillies etc
