Cortina era il nome commerciale che gli inglesi hanno continuato a usare per la vettura che altro non era che una Taunus. La Cortina originaria nasce infatti in Inghilterra nel, credo, 1962 o 1963. E la Cortina/Taunus cessò la sua brillante carriera nel 1982 sostituita dalla, all'epoca, avvenirista Sierra.

sorry to say the same but the cortina ceased production in 1982, (Y reg). and was replaced by the sierra. how can this be 1984. thanks for posting though.

I drove an early Telstar but it's living proof why Ford Australia went to Japan and Mazda for it's cortina replacement.The Sierra would have looked out of place in the land downunder.

Ummm, thats a 1982 advert - the Cortina ceased production in Europe that year...
