@dixietess Great questions! My toes are indeed scrunched up inside my shoes. My foot is pointed and my ankle is pretty tight. My quads are firm but not super duper tight. Toe stand comfort can depend a lot on the shoe. If the arch of the shoe is soft enough, or flexible enough, toe stands are actually quite easy. If not, you need to bend your knees a lot and try to position your toes slightly further towards the back. Hope that helps and good luck.
heyy.. was just wondering, how would you describe your foot position when doing toestands within your tap shoes? do you scrunch your toes much? how tense are your feet/ankles/quads?
I have never been officially taught them, just expected to be able to do them.. and they arent comfortable at all yet!! haha
