Germany in shock after deadly shooting spree - 12 Mar 09

Tim Kretschmer, a German teenager dressed in black combat gear, entered the Albertville secondary school, north of Stuttgart, and went on a gun rampage killing nine students and three teachers.

He then fled the school in Winnenden, south-west Germany, but shot himself dead after being cornered by police.

oh for the love of god do you people think that this tim kretchsmer was influenced by germany's bloody history? or because of what happened during WW II? and the holocayst? do you think that the two boys at columbine were influenced by the atrocities of vietnam? or serbia? no, young boys are not concerned with such things! learn to term this tragedy within the right bounds people! a school shooting and atrocities that have happened over the centuries are NOT in the same category!

It is easy for people to judge Germany. But 1920`s Germany was bloody awful and the Wiemar Republic was weak and ill prepared to tackle the economic conditions of the depression. The Nazi party took control and the rest is history.

What was the average German to do against a Political Party with a para military organization that trampled any vocal opposition?
