Thanks AntsCanada! That was great. Sorry I made you talk about getting an exterminator as its counter intuitive to your work. If I do find the nest I wouldn't mind transferring the queen(s) outside but would they survive? They don't really bother me so much as they do my wife and I think it's because of all the horror movies she's watched and now I really freaked her out by showing her photos of them, lol. Well thanks, again.

@DiwataMan2 LOL! No problem at all. If you do manage to somehow locate the nest and obtain the bulk of the colony with the queen (try using a dust buster to suck them up), you can let them go outside somewhere by digging a hole, dumping them in and placing a flat rock over it. The ants should be able to survive on their own in the wilderness, but if it's a species that favours homes (e.g. Odourous House Ants), they may find their way into another home. Use this knowledge to your advantage LOL!
