White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says the Obama administration will "keep a boot to the throat" of BP to make sure the company stops oil from a sunken rig from pouring into the Gulf of Mexico as soon as possible. (May 3)

It's always chilling when the Left lets its mask slip. "Boot on the throat" is Fascist language, worthy of Mussolini. Would John F. Kennedy authorize such a characterization? If Lumpy had tried that on J.F.K.'s watch, he'd be out on the street that afternoon. Because he speaks for Obama, Gibbs gives us a good idea of the Oval Office mindset.

i dont think "boot on the throat" reveals anything about the fascist nature of the current government. to me its an obvious attempt to show that the administration is angry about the oil spill and a play to get the people on their side.. same reason the administration stressed "BRITISH petroleum" several times.. common enemy type of thing, not a hidden fascist agenda that sometimes can be seen when referring to environmental disasters: "we must exterminate the inferior oil company! kill kill!"
