The Modesto California Fiji Festival! Celebrating its annual festival, it is one of California's most prominent celebrations of Fijian American traditions. Each year, hundreds of people attend this dazzling display showcasing the color! And grace of the Fijian American culture! And the diversity of the Fijian American Community. Please join us! And become part of this popular Fijian American community event. This year's Modesto Fiji Festival will be held on Saturday August 14th two thousand and ten. All are welcome to join in the festivities! As we celebrate Fijian! And Fijian American culture in Modesto California. The festival will be held at Central Catholic high school! On two hundred south Carpenter Road in Modesto California. Corner of Highway one thirty two! And Carpenter Road. There will be food booths! Cultural performances! Dances! Games! And more. As well as taste traditional! And non traditional Fijian delicacies. Every year we are joined by dozens of performers from both Modesto and around California to give our hundreds of spectators a taste of the Fijian culture. The Modesto Fiji Festival! Started as a great display of Fijian cultural, heritage! And pride. Community groups came together as a spirit of unity, some taking form for the first time in order to participate in the Festival. Throughout the years, it has grown to encompass the many facets of the Fijian community. During this event we encourage you to savour the taste, listen to the sounds!
